In 2009, Medaca Health Group participated in a ground breaking study with CAMH and the University of Toronto to examine the cost, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of a collaborative mental health care (CMHC) program for people on short-term disability leave for mental health disorders. The results of the study showed dramatic improvements in return to work durations and long-term disability volumes for employees of a major Canadian bank. The CMHC detailed in the study is the basis for the Medaca mental health care program that it offers today to insurers, third party administrators and employers.
